We were given the task of repairing a set of flat on flat metal casement windows that had undergone various alterations throughout the years. The windows were carefully de-glazed taking care not to damage any of the original glass. The existing paintwork was removed and any missing or non-original furniture was replaced with hand forged catches and stays to match the originals. All furniture had an iron paste and wax finish with the casements being treated with zinc phosphate primer and base primer before being re-glazed.
